About

Kyle Rainford is a London-based freelance video editor. His wide-ranging experience includes everything from 10 second commercials to multi-part TV series that have appeared on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, online and even on the giant screens in Piccadilly Circus.

Thanks to his languages degree and experience working overseas, he even edits French and German content and has completed numerous language projects for Google, Roche and Canon.

Before he became an editor, Kyle was a freelance director of corporate films and worked in the film industry in lighting and camera departments. Previous to this he was an English teacher and translator.

In recent years he has concentrated on commercials, completing several dozen for Nintendo campaigns alongside spots for Paddy Power, Plusnet, lastminute.com and Tesco.

There have also been luxury brand projects for Escada and Dunhill, together with numerous ten minute and half-hour programmes covering travel, food, social history, motoring, property, music, children, and popular science.

Drama projects include a ten minute short for the Film Council and the pilot series of Sofia’s Diary, a teen-based drama picked up by Sony Pictures that went on to become a successful, long-running early example of TV on the web.
